Pastor Elder Eric Spruill:
Graduated Summa Cum Laude from North Carolina A & T University in Greensboro in 1994 with a B.S. in Industrial Technology concentration in Electronics/Computer Tech.
· Accepted Fully and Sold Out for Christ in January of 1999
Eric Became Assistant Instructor for Bible Study in 2000
Eric Started the Audio/Video Ministry for Promise Land Church in 2000
Eric Became Chairman of newly formed Promise Land’s Men Fellowship in 2000
Eric Elected to Trustee Board of Promise Land Church of Christ in 2001
· Founded Truth 4 Life Ministries in 2001 together along with wife, Carmen
· In 2002 Eric began attending Goldsboro Raleigh Disciple Institute
· Eric Licensed in Ministry February 2002
· Eric Ordained in Ministry October 2004
· Eric was elected and installed as Pastor of St. James Church of Christ (D.O.C.) in 2004 and remained as Pastor until resignation in 2010
During this time the church experienced significant Spiritual Growth and Healing
· In 2008 Eric and Carmen incorporated their longtime Ministry Truth 4 Life
· In 2010 Services were incorporated into Truth 4 Life Ministries
· In 2011, along with wife, Carmen, obtained and remodeled building space, 2940 Wakefield Pines Dr., Unit 107, Raleigh, NC 27614, and named it the “Life Family Center”
Elder Eric Spruill: During a 2001 Goldsboro-Raleigh District Annual Assembly meeting spiritual life changes began to exceed my expectations. Our Friday night guest was Apostle Norbert Simmons of Goldsboro’s Deeper Life Church Ministries and he made a great deposit into the atmosphere. Even as reserved as I generally was on that night I received a new invigorating touch from the Lord. I ran around the church several times filled with Joy that could not be contained and Holy Spirit moved on me that night with evidence of tongues. I returned home that night and shared my experience with my wife and then went to bed still excited. During that night I entered into a deep sleep I suppose, but cannot really know because of what occurred next. I was awakened by what I thought was my wife laying hands on me as, she would do at times. I tried to get her to stop and a voice instructed me “It is I” and at that time I actually became somewhat afraid because I knew who it was. The voice said I have anointed you to preach my word. And I of course I said I couldn’t. I tried to debate that I was not worthy and that I didn’t even know the Word like that. Jesus answered me and said that I didn’t need to be concerned because He said “I will put the words in your mouth that are needed”. Of course I really had no answer for this and the Spirit was so strong that I told him ‘I will”. After that I woke up, woke my wife, Carmen . My life would never be the same and the next Sunday I told my Pastor, Bishop Anthony R. Terrell, Sr., that God called me to preach and the journey intensified.
